Argital was established in Milan in 1979 as a result of an encounter with destiny between
Giuseppe Ferraro, a young biologist bursting with new ideas, Graziella, his loving
companion, and the bright and cheerful Pietro Bianchi, founder of Kl, the top firm in the
distribution of organic products.

A long and consistent history
Argital is founded in Milan, in 1979, to study the properties of green clay and design organic cosmetics for health and wellness improvement. Few years later Argital is leader in green clay based organic cosmetics.
As clay all the ingredients used for Argital products are are only and exclusively selected organic ingredients. Parfumes are realized with pure essential oil blends. A new site for production In 2005 the company moved its operative site in Sicily, in a sunny, windy and clean area in front of the Mediterranean sea, joining the green clay quarry it owns.

A Rare Context Today
The pliant forces of the clay, along with the sunlight, the warmth emanating from Etna, the wind that recounts stories from around the world, the fiery sunsets, the incessant rhythm of the waves of the Mediterranean, the countryside with its ageold olive trees and a social fabric that is still rich in humanity.
This, in the extreme south of Sicily, is the context in which Argital creates and produces just a stone’s throw away from the very pit where Argital excavates its millennia-old green clay, the primary raw material used in all of Argital’s cosmetic products.

The skin is the portal through which cosmetics can be absorbed into our body: for this reason these cosmetics must be healthy. Argital uses raw materials of absolute quality, strictly natural, organic and Demeter, and places maximum attention during all phases of the production process in order that the actual cosmetics are healthy. Argital’s work is founded on four fundamental principles:
- Love for man: the beauty and wellbeing of a person are central to the work we carry out;
- Love for nature: to avoid desertification, Demeter and Organic certified prime materials are used in our products;
- Love for the environment: our packaging is 100% recyclable. Our product formulations have zero-impact on the environment or as low as possible;
- Love for animals: the raw materials in Argital products do not contain animal-derived ingredients and are not tested on animals.
The People
Our dynamic and serene work environment is comprised of young, capable and motivated employees. More than 40 collegues, all fundamental components of a tight-knit team that follow, systematically and one step at a time, the creation of every single product at different stages of the production process.
The result is evidenced in Argital’s products, in which professionalism of the team, and the high quality of the raw materials, are expressed at the highest level.
