Why Argital chooses nature

Deforestation is a major contributor to climate change. It manifests itself in many forms: forest fires, agricultural clearing, livestock ranching, and logging, among others. Forests cover 31% of the Earth’s surface, and 75,700 square kilometers (18.7 million acres) of forest are lost each year. Massive deforestation continues to threaten tropical forests, their biodiversity, and the ecosystem services they provide.
Founded in 1979 in Milan by Dr. G. Ferraro, the company moved to Sicily in 2005 near the green clay quarry. A pioneer in natural green clay cosmetics, using exclusively certified organic raw materials. Its philosophy is inspired by anthroposophy, with in-house scientific research and collaboration with Italian universities.

The organization offers the opportunity to choose from over 300 different tree species, which can be planted in 70 different reforestation projects located across four continents. In each project, species are carefully selected based on the specific benefits they bring to the environment and local populations.

On our website and with every sale, our customers contribute to global reforestation through an innovative method for calculating compensation per tree, based on average growth over 10 years. We firmly believe in the project and its complete transparency for every tree planted in our corporate forest.
